SiteMaps — Terms of Use
Pilot terms — last updated July 2, 2026.
What SiteMaps is
SiteMaps assembles a package of maps and public information about a property you specify: satellite and street-level imagery, municipal parcel and zoning maps, conservation-authority regulated areas, provincial land-information layers, agricultural soil data, and an Ontario Heritage Act register check. The package is built automatically from publicly accessible government services and Google Maps Platform at the moment you request it.
Orientation aids, not authoritative determinations
Every map, measurement, and attribute in a package is an orientation aid. Lot areas, frontages and depths are computed from open cadastral fabrics, which can differ from the legal (registered) parcel. Zoning codes are read from municipal GIS layers, which can lag by-law amendments. A "no results" heritage check means the property is not in the provincial register — municipal registers must be checked separately. Always verify against the source of record (the municipality, the conservation authority, the land registry, a surveyor) before relying on any of it for a decision, transaction, application, or valuation.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Packages are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Source portals change, time out, and occasionally render incorrectly; a package may contain placeholders where a source was unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteMaps and its operator accept no liability for losses arising from use of, or reliance on, a package.
Source attribution and licences
Imagery and map data remain the property of their providers (Google, the King's Printer for Ontario, municipalities, conservation authorities, and others) and carry their attribution within each image. Your use of a package must respect those providers' terms.
Acceptable use
The pilot is free and invitation-only. Don't share your invite code publicly, automate bulk submissions, or use the service to build a redistributable dataset.
Privacy
We store the address you submit and, if you provide it, your email — used only to build the package and send you its link. Packages and job records are automatically deleted after 30 days. Requests necessarily pass the address to the source services (Google and the government portals) to render the maps.
