Site Maps — Terms of Use & Disclaimer

These are interim terms for the pilot. They govern how you may use Site Maps and they disclaim liability. Site Maps' data-source rights are still being finalized; nothing here grants you any rights in third-party data. Full Terms of Use will follow.
By checking the acknowledgment box and clicking "I Agree," you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Site Maps.
1. What Site Maps is
Site Maps gathers publicly available maps, imagery, and records for an Ontario address or assessment roll number and assembles them into a single package — the same material you could collect yourself from public sources, gathered in one step. It is an informational convenience tool.
2. What Site Maps is not
Site Maps is not a survey, legal description, title search, boundary determination, valuation, or any official or professional record. It is not professional advice. Its outputs are for general information only and must not be relied on for any legal, financial, real-estate, land-use, engineering, insurance, or other decision without independent verification against authoritative sources.
3. Accuracy is not guaranteed
The data comes from third-party public sources and may be out of date, incomplete, or incorrect. Site Maps may match the wrong address or parcel, place a marker in the wrong location, or misalign boundary lines over imagery. You are responsible for confirming that every map and record actually corresponds to the property you intend, and for verifying all details, before you use them for anything.
4. Your use, your responsibility
You use Site Maps and its outputs at your own risk. If you include an output in a report, listing, presentation, or other work product, you are responsible for checking it first. Site Maps is not responsible for anything you create, or for any decision or action you or anyone else takes in reliance on an output. You must not use Site Maps or its outputs for any unlawful purpose.
5. Sources and rights
Site Maps assembles material from publicly available and licensed sources (for example, Google, OpenStreetMap, and provincial and municipal open data). Each provider's material remains subject to that provider's own terms, and its source and attribution notices must be kept intact. The Site Maps software, its design, and the selection and arrangement of each package belong to Vince Londini. These terms do not grant you any rights in third-party data beyond those the source's own licence provides; if you copy, share, or reuse any output, you are responsible for your own compliance with those providers' terms.
6. No warranties
Site Maps is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vince Londini and Site Maps will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — Site Maps or its outputs. This includes reliance on inaccurate data, a wrong address or parcel match, and use of any output without verification.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vince Londini and Site Maps from any claim, demand, or expense arising out of your use of Site Maps or its outputs, your breach of these terms, or your reuse or distribution of any output.
9. Assumption of risk
You acknowledge the limitations described above and assume all risk associated with using Site Maps and its outputs.
10. Interim terms and changes
These are interim pilot terms and will be replaced by full Terms of Use. Site Maps' data-source rights are being finalized, and sources may be added, changed, or removed as that work completes. These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
